Clearbrief
Award-winning AI that helps top law firms work smarter.
Clearbrief is the only tool that automatically pulls up every factual and legal source you cite in your draft, side by side with your writing, instantly finding and linking to the best record documents to support each sentence. It not only highlights discrepancies between what you've written and your sources but also flags where your opponent may be misrepresenting the record or the case law in their brief. Show the judge why you win and root out lazy opposing counsel with Clearbrief, enhancing your arguments as you write.
An insight sparked in the courtroom.
Jacqueline Schafer, founder and CEO of Clearbrief, has carved a distinguished path in legal innovation. A former litigation associate at Paul, Weiss in New York, Schafer has extensive experience in appellate practice and complex litigation from her time as an Assistant Attorney General in Washington and Alaska.
She was recognized with the 2021 WA State Bar Award for Legal Innovation, not only for founding Clearbrief but also for her influential 2020 law review article, "Harnessing AI for Struggling Families." Prior to the startup realm, she served as in-house counsel at Casey Family Programs, managing agreements with state courts and impact litigation.
Schafer continues her impact through pro bono work, board memberships including the Washington State CASA and Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, and advisory roles in the tech sector. She holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University School of Law, and notably, sang with John Legend's former a cappella group.
